Visiting Helicopters will find a warm and friendly welcome at Polar Helicopters.
Both aircraft and passengers will find fuel and sustenance. We have a seated area with access to tea and coffee making facilities. For something more substantial, a visit to the Spitfire Café is less than a 5 minute walk away, offering a sumptuous variety of hot and cold food and drinks.
Within the Café building is also a museum celebrating the contributions of the Spitfire and Hurricane Aircraft to the Second World War and their links to Manston Airport. Opposite the Spitfire museum is the RAF Manston History Museum, celebrating Manston Airport’s part in both World Wars. Staffed by volunteers, it is a fascinating place to see the history of the Airport and see a large selection of historic helicopters and fixed wing aircraft.
